Privacy Policy

Polaris is a private companion for your own reflection and manifestation practice. What you write is yours. This is the plain-language version of how we handle your data.

What we collect

• What you write. Your reflections, your conversations, and the personal notes Polaris builds with you — your chosen reality, your story, what lands for you, and how you come home. By default this lives on your device. If you create an account or turn on sync, a copy is stored in the cloud (sent over an encrypted connection) so you can move between devices and never lose it.
• Your email — only if you create an account. We use it to send you a one-time sign-in code and to keep your saved world tied to you. Your sign-in codes themselves are stored scrambled (hashed) and expire within minutes.
• Basic usage counts — if subscription limits are active, we count how many exchanges you've used in a day, tied to an anonymous ID, only to apply your plan. No content is read for this.

We do not collect your location or contacts, and your vision-board images stay on your device. We don't use advertising identifiers, third-party trackers, or ads. We never sell your data — to anyone, ever.

How your conversations are processed

To create a response, the text of your conversation and your saved context is sent securely to our AI provider, Anthropic, which processes it to produce a reply. We send only what's needed for the conversation.

Service providers we rely on

We use a small set of trusted providers strictly to run Polaris — not to profile you:

• Anthropic — AI processing of your conversation.
• Upstash — secure cloud storage for account sync.
• Resend — sending your sign-in code by email.
• Render — hosting the service.
• Apple — if you subscribe, Apple processes the payment. We never see your card details.

Your control

• You can clear all data stored on your device at any time, from within the app.
• You can export a full backup of your world whenever you want.
• To delete your account and any synced data, email us and we'll remove it.

How long we keep it

We keep your synced data for as long as your account is active, or until you ask us to delete it.

Children

Polaris isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the effective date above.
